Type
Compression Therapy
Duration
30 min
What's included
3 deliverables in this treatment
- 30-minute Lymfoven intermittent-compression session on the lower limbs
- Graduated sequential inflation pattern targeting the full length of each leg
- Aftercare guidance on hydration and activity following the session
Mechanical lymphatic drainage using the Lymfoven intermittent-compression device — a specialised system that uses inflatable bags fitted around the legs to apply rhythmic, graduated pressure that mimics and amplifies the body's natural lymphatic pump. Each 30-minute session restores lymph flow, stimulates venous return, accelerates local metabolism and helps break down fluid retention and accumulated toxins in the subcutaneous tissue. Conditions that may respond include tired or heavy legs, limb oedema, muscle cramps and stiffness, venous insufficiency, and cellulite. The sensation is described by patients as a very pleasant deep massage. At Dermo Písek the treatment is administered in a dedicated room by trained clinic staff.
About this treatment
Lymphatic drainage at Dermo Písek is delivered using the Lymfoven mechanical intermittent-compression device — a medical-grade system that wraps the lower limbs in segmented compression bags. Each bag segment inflates in a wave-like sequence from the foot upward, replicating the peristaltic action of the lymphatic vessels and manually propelling lymph toward the inguinal lymph nodes where it re-enters the venous circulation.
The lymphatic system is a low-pressure transport network that runs parallel to the blood circulatory system. It collects interstitial fluid, protein molecules and immune cells from the spaces between tissue cells and returns them to the bloodstream. When lymph flow is sluggish — due to inactivity, prolonged sitting or standing, mild venous insufficiency, or post-surgical disruption — fluid accumulates in the limbs, producing heaviness, swelling (oedema),…
The Lymfoven device at Dermo Písek addresses all of these effects simultaneously. The mechanical compression: - Restores and enhances lymph circulation that may have slowed due to inactivity or vascular insufficiency - Stimulates venous return, reducing the congestion that contributes to varicose vein progression - Accelerates local metabolic activity and the clearance of interstitial waste products - For cellulite: mobilises the lymphatic system to…
