Microneedling (Dermapen)

Microneedling with a Dermapen device creates controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and the appearance of scarring. Active serums are driven into the skin during treatment for added benefit. At Dermo-Estetic a single session is 700 zł, and a short course is generally recommended for the best improvement in texture and acne scarring.

Microneedling uses a pen-style device fitted with a cluster of very fine needles that oscillate at speed to create thousands of tiny, controlled channels in the skin. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural repair process, which is associated with fresh collagen and elastin production that can firm the skin and refine its surface over the weeks that follow. The channels also let active serums applied during the treatment penetrate more effectively than they would on intact skin. At Dermo-Estetic the skin is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied before the Dermapen pass, and a session takes roughly forty-five minutes to an hour depending on the area. Afterwards the skin typically looks flushed, similar to mild sunburn, for a day or so before appearing fresher and, over several weeks, smoother and more even in tone. Microneedling is well suited to uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines and mild to moderate acne scarring, and can be used on the face as well as other areas. Because the collagen response is gradual, a course of sessions spaced a few weeks apart usually gives the best results, particularly for scarring. Diligent sun protection afterwards is important. The treatment is avoided over active acne or infection and in pregnancy, and suitability is confirmed beforehand.
