The thermal injury at the focal point triggers an immediate tissue contraction followed by a prolonged collagen neogenesis response. In the weeks and months following treatment, the body's fibroblasts remodel the treated tissue, producing new collagen and elastin that progressively tightens and elevates the treated structures.
