Specialist Dermatology Consultation

Type

Dermatology Consultation

Duration

30 min

Fellowship-trained dermatologist consultation covering medical, paediatric, surgical, and cosmetic skin conditions. Includes full skin assessment, diagnosis, and a personalised treatment plan.

A specialist dermatology consultation at Dermatology Collective is conducted by either Dr Kok Wai Leong or Dr Kong Yan Ling, both holding the Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) in Dermatology — the highest specialist credential in the field. The consultation covers the full spectrum of skin conditions: inflammatory conditions (eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, urticaria), infectious dermatoses (fungal, viral, bacterial), pigmentation disorders (melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation), hair and nail conditions, and skin cancer screening including dermoscopy for mole assessment. Paediatric dermatology is a particular strength of the clinic, making it a suitable option for parents managing childhood eczema, viral warts, or birthmarks. The consultation process involves a thorough clinical history, physical skin examination, and where indicated, skin swabs, patch testing for contact allergy, or dermoscopy. A clear diagnosis is communicated and a structured treatment plan is formulated, which may include topical or systemic medications, procedural referral within the same practice, or monitoring protocols. Follow-up appointments are scheduled to track treatment response. Consultations are available at both the Ngee Ann City and Farrer Park locations on weekdays and Saturday mornings. Medisave may be claimable for certain medical dermatology diagnoses under the relevant MOH criteria.
