Laser treatment of facial vascular lesions including spider veins, facial redness, rosacea capillaries and hemangiomas using the Nd:YAG wavelength. The laser selectively heats oxyhaemoglobin inside the target vessels, causing them to coagulate and collapse without damaging surrounding skin. Sclerotherapy (aethoxysklerol injection) is also available for larger or deeper vessels. No anaesthetic is needed for most small lesions. SPF 50+ sunscreen is required for four or more weeks post-treatment to prevent pigmentation during healing.

Immediately after treatment, fine vessels may appear darker (a brief purpura response) or slightly swollen; this resolves within one to two weeks as the coagulated vessel is reabsorbed. Preparation required
