PRP Plasma Therapy

Type

Mesotherapy

Duration

1 hour

Skin and scalp rejuvenation using the patient's own platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prepared from a small venous blood draw and reinjected into the face, neck, décolletage, hands or scalp. PRP contains concentrated growth factors — PDGF, TGF-beta, VEGF and IGF — that stimulate collagen synthesis, improve tissue quality and, on the scalp, support follicular activity. Because the plasma is autologous, rejection and allergic reactions are not a concern. DermaMedEst's protocol draws 20 ml of blood, centrifuges it to concentrate platelets, and injects the resulting plasma into the target area.

Platelet-rich plasma therapy is grounded in the biology of wound healing. Platelets are the blood's primary repair cells: their alpha-granules contain a library of growth factors including platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF). When concentrated and re-introduced into tissue, these molecules bind surface receptors on fibroblasts, keratinocytes and stem cells, triggering a localised regenerative cascade — new collagen synthesis, improved blood-vessel density, enhanced cellular metabolism and accelerated repair of ageing or damaged tissue architecture. At DermaMedEst the PRP protocol begins with a 20 ml venous blood draw. The sample is placed in a centrifuge that separates the heavier red blood cells from the lighter plasma fraction; a second centrifugation further concentrates the platelets into the target volume of PRP. The physician then injects this autologous plasma through fine needles into the treatment zone. For facial rejuvenation the plasma is deposited across the mid-dermis of the cheeks, perioral area, under-eye zone and other areas of volume loss or laxity; growth factors initiate a healing cascade that builds new, denser collagen over eight to twelve weeks after each session, improving skin thickness, firmness and luminosity. For scalp alopecia the injection targets the perifollicular zone at follicle level: VEGF and PDGF improve blood supply to the follicles, extend the anagen (active growth) phase and stimulate miniaturised follicles toward fuller activity. The scalp protocol is priced from 4,000 Kč and is typically scheduled as three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, with annual maintenance. Combination with hyaluronic acid is available for the face (from 7,500 Kč), adding an immediate volumising and hydrating effect alongside the longer-term regenerative stimulus of the PRP. Because PRP is derived entirely from the patient's own blood, there is no risk of allergy or foreign-body reaction. Immediate side effects are confined to the injection sites: mild swelling, redness and occasional bruising that typically resolve within one to three days. The regenerative improvement — collagen remodelling, tissue density gain, follicle response — develops progressively over two to three months after each session. Most patients notice a meaningful difference in skin quality after the first session, with cumulative improvement across a course. Patients on anticoagulant therapy, or with platelet disorders or active inflammatory skin conditions, should discuss suitability at consultation before booking.
