Under-Eye Dark Circle Filler (Teosal Redensity II)

DermaEsthetic uses Teosal PureSense Redensity II Eyes — a specifically formulated periocular hyaluronic acid product — to address under-eye hollowing, dark circles caused by vascular shadowing, and fine periocular lines. Unlike standard dermal fillers, Redensity II combines partially crosslinked hyaluronic acid with eight amino acids, three antioxidants including glutathione, two minerals (zinc and copper), vitamin B6 and lidocaine — a complete skin-reconditioning complex engineered for the ultra-thin, mobile tissue around the eye. MUDr. Šulcová emphasises this treatment is only safe and natural-looking when performed by an experienced physician familiar with periocular anatomy.

The skin beneath the eye is among the thinnest on the entire body — approximately 0.5 mm, compared to 2 mm on the cheeks — and is underlain by a dense network of small blood vessels. As the tear-trough deepens with age (a consequence of orbital fat redistribution, bone resorption and ligament laxity), those vessels become visible through the thinning skin, creating a persistent blue-grey shadow. The hollow itself also produces a shadow from above-incident light. Standard thick dermal fillers placed in this zone carry significant risk: they can cause the Tyndall effect (a blue discoloration from filler visible through thin skin) and, if mis-placed, vascular complications. Teosal PureSense Redensity II Eyes is engineered specifically for the periocular zone. Its lower crosslink density makes it soft enough to move naturally with facial expression; the multi-active complex (amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, B6) provides ongoing biological benefit to the compromised skin quality in this area rather than just physically filling the space. The lidocaine component reduces injection discomfort without the need for additional nerve-blocking anaesthesia. The injection is placed in the suborbicularis plane or immediately above the orbital bone periosteum — zones that allow volume to integrate without producing surface irregularities or blanching of vessels. The session includes a pre-treatment consultation to assess the degree of hollowing, skin quality and vascular pattern; topical anaesthetic cream is applied 30–45 minutes before injecting. Results are visible immediately and refine over two weeks as minor swelling resolves. The clinic recommends ice application and sleeping on the back for the first night. Results typically last 9–18 months.
