Plexr Plasma Soft Surgery

Plexr is a plasma device that tightens and removes excess skin without a scalpel, incision or stitches — for small amounts of drooping it can replace surgical blepharoplasty on the eyelids. At Dermaestet it is also used to soften wrinkles, fade acne marks and pigment, treat stretch marks and remove warts, moles and other benign lesions, including xanthelasma. The skin is sublimated point by point so no blood or general anaesthesia is involved, and recovery is straightforward with small crusts that heal over days.

Plexr uses ionised gas — plasma — generated at the tip of a fine probe held just above the skin. The plasma arc sublimates (vaporises) tiny points of the skin surface without cutting, which causes the surrounding tissue to instantly contract and tighten. By placing a controlled grid of these points, the practitioner can tighten and remove small amounts of excess skin — most notably on the eyelids, where for minor sagging it can serve as an alternative to surgical blepharoplasty without a scalpel, incision, blood or general anaesthesia. At Dermaestet, Plexr is also used to soften wrinkles, fade acne marks and pigmentation, improve stretch marks and scars on the body, and remove benign skin lesions such as warts, moles and xanthelasma (cholesterol deposits around the eyes). The treated area is numbed with local anaesthetic, then the probe is passed across it point by point; the procedure typically takes around fifteen to thirty minutes depending on the zone. Tiny carbon crusts form at each treated point and heal over the following days to weeks, during which the area should be kept clean and protected from the sun and the crusts left to fall away naturally. The skin-tightening effect develops as healing completes and collagen reorganises, and more than one session may be advised for the fullest result on larger areas. Plexr suits adults with mild eyelid hooding, fine wrinkles, certain pigment or scar concerns, or benign lesions who want a non-surgical, scalpel-free option; it is not a replacement for surgery where sagging is significant. It is avoided over active infection, on recently tanned skin and during pregnancy, and suitability is confirmed at consultation.
