Blepharoplasty is surgery of the eyelids that corrects excess skin around the eyes, relieving the feeling of heavy, tired eyes and refreshing the look of the upper face. At Dermaestet it is performed under local anaesthesia on the upper or lower lids, with almost imperceptible scars and no need for general anaesthesia. About this treatment

Blepharoplasty is the surgical correction of the eyelids. With age the thin skin around the eyes loses elasticity and excess skin develops, particularly on the upper lids, where it can hood the eye, and on the lower lids, where puffiness and folds form; this can make the face look tired and, in the case of heavy upper lids, can even encroach on the field of vision. The procedure takes around ninety minutes and is performed under local anaesthesia. Incisions are placed in the natural crease of the upper lid or just below the lash line of the lower lid, so the resulting fine scars are very well hidden; the excess skin is removed and the incisions closed with delicate sutures.
