At those focal points the energy gently heats the deeper supportive layers, including the foundation that surgeons address in a facelift, triggering a controlled response that contracts existing collagen and stimulates new collagen formation. The result is a gradual firming and subtle lift, achieved without needles, incisions or filler. At DermaDerm the area is mapped and ultrasound gel applied before the handpiece delivers energy along the planned lines. Treatment of a region such as the lower face or neck takes around forty-five to sixty minutes; you may feel brief warmth or small prickling sensations as the energy is delivered, and afterwards the skin may be slightly pink or tender for a short time, with little to no downtime. Because the firming effect depends on new collagen forming, results build progressively over roughly two to three months and can continue to improve, typically lasting around a year before a maintenance session may be considered.
