A thread lift places fine absorbable PDO threads under the skin to physically lift and reposition sagging tissue while stimulating new collagen along their path. At DermaConcept the dermatologist — an international trainer in thread lifting — offers everything from individual mesothreads for one area to a full-face lift, plus targeted lifts for the brow, a foxy-eyes effect and non-surgical nose refinement. It is a less invasive alternative to surgery for mild to moderate laxity, with an immediate lift that is reinforced by collagen as the threads gradually dissolve.
A thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that uses fine, absorbable polydioxanone (PDO) threads inserted under the skin to lift and support tissue that has begun to descend. The threads are introduced through a needle or fine cannula and, depending on type, may carry tiny barbs or cones that grip the tissue to reposition it, producing an immediate, subtle lift. Just as importantly, the body responds to the threads by forming new collagen along their tracks, so the skin is gradually reinforced; the PDO material itself is fully absorbed over several months while that collagen scaffold remains. At DermaConcept the treatment is performed by MUDr. Martina Neradová Richterová, who trains other physicians in thread techniques internationally, and the menu ranges from individual mesothreads for a single area to a full-face lift (excluding the forehead), as well as a brow lift, a foxy-eyes tail-up effect and non-surgical nose refinement. The area is cleansed and local anaesthetic is used before the threads are placed; the procedure typically takes around thirty to sixty minutes depending on how many threads are used and where. Afterward there may be mild swelling, tenderness, small bruises or a slight puckering that settles over the following days, and it is advisable to avoid heavy exercise, facials and wide mouth movements for a short period while the threads anchor. The visible lift is immediate and then refined as collagen builds over the weeks that follow; results commonly last from several months up to around a year or more depending on the thread type and the area. A thread lift is best suited to adults with mild to moderate laxity of the mid-face, jowls or brow who want a non-surgical option, and it is not a replacement for a surgical facelift where sagging is advanced. Suitability and contraindications are assessed by the doctor at consultation.
