Lumecca is an intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment that delivers broad-spectrum light into the skin to fade pigmentation and reduce redness from broken capillaries and rosacea, while improving overall clarity and tone. At DermaConcept it is performed on the InMode Lumecca platform, with each session typically taking under 20 minutes. It is near-painless, suits most skin types and brightens dull skin and mild sun damage; treated pigment usually darkens briefly before flaking away over the following days.

Lumecca is a high-intensity pulsed light (IPL) treatment used for photorejuvenation — improving the overall clarity, tone and evenness of the skin. The device emits a broad spectrum of light that is absorbed by the brown pigment of sun spots and freckles and by the red of dilated blood vessels. That selective absorption breaks down excess pigment and helps shrink small superficial vessels, so over a few sessions the complexion looks clearer and more even, with less blotchy redness and fewer brown marks. Lumecca is commonly used for sun-related and age-related pigmentation, the diffuse redness and visible capillaries of rosacea, the look of some acne scarring, and general dullness, and it can give a subtle freshening of the skin's surface. At DermaConcept the treatment runs on the InMode Lumecca system and a session usually takes under 20 minutes. The skin is cleansed, a cooling gel is applied and the handpiece delivers pulses of light across the target area — most often the face, neck, décolletage or the backs of the hands, or just a single problem spot. The sensation is near-painless, often described as a brief warm snap, with short-lived redness afterward. Over the next days treated brown spots typically darken, then lift and flake away as the skin renews, while redness settles gradually. Diligent sun protection with SPF 50+ and good hydration are important before and after treatment, and treated skin should be kept out of strong sun. Because pigment and vessels respond gradually, a short course of sessions usually gives the most even result. Lumecca suits most skin types but is not appropriate over recently tanned skin, during pregnancy or while taking photosensitising medication; suitability and skin type are assessed by the doctor beforehand.
