This treatment uses botulinum toxin injected just under the skin to reduce excessive sweating where antiperspirants are not enough — most often the underarms, palms or soles. The toxin temporarily blocks the nerve signals that switch on the sweat glands in the treated area, noticeably cutting dampness, odour and the staining of clothing. About this treatment
Treatment of hyperhidrosis with botulinum toxin targets the localised overactivity of sweat glands. Preparation required
