Fractional laser resurfacing applied to specific facial zones rather than the full face — appropriate when concerns are concentrated in one area (persistent crow's feet, a cluster of acne scars on the cheeks, or perioral lines) or when a patient prefers a more targeted approach with correspondingly less recovery time. At DermaClinique Písek, MUDr. Jůzlová, Ph.D. can concentrate fractional treatment on one or two zones — forehead, cheeks, periorbital area or perioral region — producing meaningful improvement in the targeted area while leaving the rest of the face untreated. The session is shorter and the recovery is typically faster than for a full-face protocol.
About this treatment
Partial-face fractional resurfacing follows the same biological principles as full-face treatment — microscopic column ablation, wound healing cascade, collagen remodelling — but confined to specific anatomical zones. This approach offers several advantages for patients whose concerns are not distributed across the entire face.
Appropriate candidates for partial-face treatment
- Adults with concentrated acne scarring on cheeks or chin while the forehead is clear
- Periorbital fine lines (crow's feet) as the primary concern — treating only the lateral orbital zone
- Perioral lines — the upper lip and chin area treated independently
- Forehead lines as a standalone concern — particularly in patients who have already received botulinum toxin in this area and want a deeper structural improvement
