The injections themselves usually take around ten to fifteen minutes using a very fine needle, and most people return to normal activities the same day while avoiding heat, lying flat and vigorous exercise for the rest of the day. Effects typically begin to appear after a few days and settle over about two weeks, generally lasting three to four months before muscle movement gradually returns.
