Profhilo — Bio-Remodeling Injection

Profhilo is a pure stabilised hyaluronic-acid injectable that works as a bio-remodeler rather than a volumising filler: instead of adding volume at specific points, it spreads within the tissue after injection, attracting and binding water across a broad zone while stimulating the skin's own collagen and elastin production. The result is improved skin hydration, tone, texture and elasticity — a general quality uplift rather than targeted volume correction. Profhilo is manufactured using NAHYCO Hybrid Technology, which produces a thermally stabilised complex of high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid without chemical cross-linking agents. The absence of cross-linking is what distinguishes it from volumising fillers: the molecule is less cohesive and more fluid, enabling it to spread through the tissue after injection rather than staying localised at the injection point. This biodynamic diffusion is the mechanism behind Profhilo's bio-remodeling effect: the HA complex disperses across the tissue plane, creating a broad zone of hydration and biochemical signalling rather than a localised structural correction. When Profhilo contacts dermal cells it stimulates four types of collagen (I, II, III and IV) and elastin, and activates the production of new native hyaluronic acid in the extracellular matrix. This is a tissue-quality restoration effect — the aim is to restore the conditions of younger, better-hydrated dermis rather than to physically fill a deficit. The typical clinical indication is lax, dehydrated skin that has lost the turgor and plumpness of its former state, and where volume fillers would be inappropriate because the problem is diffuse rather than localised. At Derma Medical Clinic the standard Profhilo protocol involves five BAP (bio-aesthetic point) injection sites on each side of the face — anatomical points chosen to allow optimal diffusion across the key facial zones — using a fine needle or micro-cannula. The session itself takes approximately twenty to thirty minutes. Two sessions are administered four weeks apart; some patients schedule a third session after three months for deeper or more established laxity. Maintenance treatments every six to twelve months sustain the results as the HA is gradually metabolised. Improvement from Profhilo develops gradually rather than immediately: in the first two weeks patients typically notice improved hydration and skin quality; the collagen and elastin stimulus matures over two to three months after the second session, producing firmer and more elastic skin.
