Vascular Laser (Quadrostar Pro Yellow)

A yellow-light vascular laser (Asclepion Quadrostar Pro Yellow) that targets visible facial blood vessels, redness and small vascular lesions while sparing the surrounding skin. It is well suited to broken capillaries on the nose and cheeks, rosacea-related redness and cherry angiomas. A vascular laser uses a specific wavelength of light — in this case the yellow light of the Asclepion Quadrostar Pro Yellow — that is preferentially absorbed by haemoglobin in blood vessels. The absorbed energy heats and collapses the targeted vessel while largely sparing the surrounding skin, so visible capillaries, redness and small vascular lesions may fade over the following weeks as the body clears the treated vessels. Treatment is quick — from a few minutes for a single vessel up to around half an hour for the full face — and most people describe a brief snapping or warm sensation. Afterwards the area may look slightly red or, for larger vessels, show temporary darkening or faint bruising that settles over days. The treatment is well suited to broken capillaries (telangiectasia) on the nose and cheeks, the diffuse redness associated with rosacea, and cherry angiomas (ruby spots). Diffuse redness often needs a short course of sessions a few weeks apart, while individual vessels may clear in one or two. Strict sun protection before and after is important to reduce the risk of pigmentation change.
