A chemical peel uses a carefully chosen acid solution to loosen and remove the outermost layers of the skin in a controlled way, prompting the surface to renew itself more evenly. Depending on the acid and its strength, peels can refresh dull skin, unclog and refine the look of pores, soften fine lines and help even out pigmentation and the marks left by blemishes. Derma Clinic works mainly with mesoestetic Mesopeel formulations and NeoStrata glycolic peels, choosing the right agent and concentration for your skin type and goal. Gentler superficial peels — mandelic, salicylic, lactic or low-strength glycolic — cause little more than light flaking and can be done in a short course every few weeks. Stronger options such as Jessner, higher-percentage glycolic, depigmenting Yellow Peel or a medical TCA peel work more deeply and involve more visible peeling and downtime, so they are planned carefully and always with diligent sun protection afterwards. During treatment you may feel tingling or warmth as the solution is applied and then neutralised.
