Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping)

Rhinoplasty for aesthetic nasal reshaping and functional airway improvement, performed by Dr. Rodgers and Dr. Nguyen. Techniques include nasal bone reshaping, tip refinement, nostril narrowing, and deviated septum correction. Both primary and revision rhinoplasty are offered. The approach is individualised to facial proportions to achieve balanced, natural-looking results.

Rhinoplasty at Denver Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics is performed by both Dr. Christine Rodgers and Dr. Cecelia Nguyen and encompasses aesthetic reshaping of the nose as well as functional correction of breathing impairment. The nose is evaluated in the context of the full face — the height and projection of the bridge, the definition and rotation of the tip, the width of the nostrils, and the angle of the columella relative to the upper lip — so that any changes made serve the overall facial harmony rather than altering one element in isolation. Bone work is used to narrow an overly wide dorsum or to reduce a prominent nasal hump, with controlled osteotomies repositioning the nasal bones and closing an open roof deformity. Tip refinement addresses the shape, projection, and rotation of the nasal tip through cartilage-reshaping and suture techniques, or cartilage grafting when additional structural support is needed to project or define a broad or under-projected tip. Deviated septum correction (septoplasty) is performed concurrently when nasal obstruction is present, addressing the crooked internal cartilaginous and bony partition to restore a clear airway. Both open and closed rhinoplasty approaches are offered, with the technique selected based on the degree of correction required and the surgeon's assessment of anatomical access needed. Revision rhinoplasty is also available for patients who have undergone prior nasal surgery and seek improvement of previous results. Post-operative swelling is most prominent in the first two weeks and largely resolves by six weeks, though the final refined result may take up to twelve months to fully emerge as subtle swelling in the tip subsides.
