Surgical extraction removes teeth that cannot be taken out by a simple lift — most often impacted wisdom teeth, or teeth broken off at the gum line. At Dentis the procedure is performed under local anaesthetic within the clinic's oral-surgery service, with the tooth sometimes removed in sections to spare the surrounding bone. Detailed aftercare supports healing, and the gap can be reviewed for later replacement if the tooth was not a wisdom tooth.
