About this treatment
Botulinum toxin is an aesthetic-medicine treatment that temporarily reduces the activity of specific facial muscles. The lines that form when we frown, raise the eyebrows or squint are produced by repeated muscle movement; by easing how strongly those muscles contract, the skin above them folds less and existing dynamic lines soften over the days that follow.
