Microscope-assisted root canal treatment to save a tooth with infected or inflamed pulp, performed by certified endodontist Dr Aleksandra Cieślik-Kot. Working under magnification and rubber-dam isolation, the canals are cleaned, disinfected and sealed using modern radiovisiography to guide the process. Pricing is per tooth with additional canals charged separately, and a build-up or crown to restore the tooth is arranged afterwards.
About this treatment
Root canal (endodontic) treatment is used when the soft tissue inside a tooth — the pulp — becomes infected or irreversibly inflamed, often from deep decay, a crack or trauma. Rather than removing the tooth, the aim is to clean out the diseased pulp, disinfect and shape the root canal system and seal it, so the tooth can be kept and restored. Treatment is performed under local anaesthetic with the tooth isolated by a rubber dam, which keeps the area clean and dry and protects you during the procedure. Digital radiovisiography is used to assess canal length and check progress, and the number of canals — and therefore the fee — varies between teeth, with each additional canal beyond the first priced separately.
