Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that cannot be saved by other treatment because it is too decayed, broken, infected or impacted. Denti Clinic performs both straightforward extractions and surgical removals, including impacted and wisdom teeth, under local anaesthetic with attention to comfort. The team can advise on replacing the tooth afterward with an implant, bridge or denture so the gap is restored. The right approach is confirmed after assessment and imaging.

About this treatment

Extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket, carried out when a tooth is beyond saving — for example because of extensive decay, a fracture below the gum, severe gum disease, infection, or because it is impacted, as wisdom teeth often are. While preserving natural teeth is always preferred, a timely extraction can relieve pain, clear infection and protect the neighbouring teeth and bone.

At Denti Clinic the tooth and surrounding bone are assessed, with digital imaging where needed to see the roots and nearby structures. A simple extraction removes a tooth that is fully erupted and accessible, gently loosening and lifting it out under local anaesthetic.
