Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, then cleans, shapes and seals the canals to save a tooth that would otherwise need extraction. Denti Clinic carries out endodontic treatment under magnification using a microscope, which helps locate and clean the fine canals thoroughly. The price reflects how many canals the tooth has. After treatment the tooth is usually restored with a crown to protect it, planned separately.
About this treatment
Inside every tooth is a soft core of nerve and blood vessels called the pulp. When decay, a crack or trauma lets bacteria reach the pulp, it becomes inflamed or infected, which can cause severe pain or an abscess. Root canal (endodontic) treatment removes that diseased tissue, disinfects and shapes the narrow canals inside the roots, and seals them — allowing the tooth itself to be kept and continue functioning rather than being extracted.
At Denti Clinic root canal treatment is performed under local anaesthetic and with the aid of a dental microscope, whose magnification and light help the dentist find and clean all of the canals, including fine or curved ones that are easy to miss.
