A dental crown is a custom cap that covers a damaged, heavily filled or root-treated tooth to restore its strength, shape and appearance. DentalCover offers all-ceramic and zirconia crowns for natural-looking results, as well as porcelain-fused-to-metal where extra strength is preferred. Treatment is planned with impressions and a clear cost breakdown, and posts to rebuild badly broken-down teeth are quoted separately. Each crown is laboratory-made and fitted over two visits.

A crown is a tooth-shaped restoration that fits over a prepared tooth to rebuild it when a filling is no longer enough — for example after root canal treatment, a large fracture or extensive decay. By encasing the remaining tooth, a crown restores its strength and function while recreating a natural shape and shade. At DentalCover the process generally begins with a prosthetic consultation, impressions for study models and a written plan, so the material and result are agreed in advance. The tooth is prepared and an impression or digital scan is taken; if much of the tooth has been lost, a glass-fibre or cast post-and-core may first be placed to give the crown a solid foundation. The laboratory then fabricates the crown, and it is fitted and adjusted at a second visit. The clinic offers several materials to match the situation: all-ceramic and zirconia crowns are highly aesthetic and metal-free, making them a popular choice for visible teeth, while porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns provide robust strength where that is the priority. Because the price is given per material and posts are quoted separately, patients can weigh appearance, durability and cost together. Crowns are suitable for adults with a tooth that is structurally compromised but restorable; the dentist confirms at the planning stage whether a crown, an onlay or another option best fits the tooth.
