Dental Implant (Nobel Biocare)

A titanium dental implant from the Nobel Biocare system, surgically placed to replace the root of a missing tooth and provide a stable foundation for a crown. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root. A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone where, over a healing period of several weeks to a few months, it integrates with the bone to form a firm anchor. A crown is then attached to restore the visible tooth, giving a replacement that looks and functions much like a natural tooth without affecting the neighbouring teeth, as a conventional bridge would. The clinic uses the Nobel Biocare implant system, one of the established global brands, and treatment is carried out by dr Bartosz Espenschied, who holds a Master of Implant Dentistry and soft-tissue surgery qualification from the UCLA/gIDE programme in California and teaches implantology. Treatment usually begins with a dedicated implant consultation and a cone-beam 3D scan to assess bone volume and plan the precise position. The implant is placed under local anaesthetic; a healing screw or abutment is fitted, and after integration the final restoration — at this clinic a zirconia crown — is made and attached. Each component is priced separately, so a single-tooth implant restoration combines the implant placement, the healing screw and the zirconia crown. Implants are also used to support larger restorations such as implant-retained dentures.
