The denture is built in a dental laboratory and then fitted and adjusted; minor refinements over the first days or weeks are normal as you adapt to wearing it. A removable denture should be taken out and cleaned daily and removed at night unless advised otherwise. Over time the underlying gum can change shape, so an occasional reline or adjustment may be needed to maintain fit.
