Porcelain Veneer

A porcelain veneer is a thin, custom ceramic shell bonded to the front of a tooth to improve its colour, shape, alignment or proportions, mainly on the upper front teeth that show when smiling. Dental Med makes its veneers in the on-site laboratory and can preview the planned result with a mock-up before any tooth is prepared. Porcelain veneers are 2,600 zł per tooth, with a more economical composite veneer offered at 950 zł.

Veneers are used to change the appearance of the visible front teeth — masking discolouration that does not respond to whitening, closing small gaps, reshaping worn or uneven teeth, or improving the look of mildly crooked teeth without orthodontics. A porcelain veneer is a wafer-thin ceramic facing, individually crafted to the chosen shade and shape and bonded to the prepared front surface of the tooth. At Dental Med the laboratory technicians fabricate the veneers in-house, and the clinic can produce a mock-up so the patient previews the proposed shape before treatment is finalised. Treatment usually involves minimal preparation of the enamel, an impression or digital scan, and bonding of the finished veneers at a later visit; thin temporaries may be worn in between. Because porcelain resists staining and reflects light much like natural enamel, well-made veneers tend to look lifelike and stable in colour over time. For patients wanting a less invasive or lower-cost option, the clinic also offers composite veneers built up directly in the chair in a single visit. Veneers are best suited to adults with healthy teeth and gums whose concerns are primarily cosmetic; the dentist assesses bite, enamel and expectations beforehand, and the published per-tooth prices are approximate, with a full smile plan costed from the number of teeth involved.
