Clear aligners are a discreet way to correct crowding, spacing and many bite issues using a sequence of transparent, custom-fitted plastic trays. Each aligner is shaped slightly differently from the last, so wearing them in order applies gentle, controlled pressure that moves the teeth step by step toward the planned final position. Because they are removable, patients take them out to eat and to brush and floss normally, and the trays are far less noticeable than conventional braces — which appeals to adults and older teenagers in particular.
