Tooth Extraction

Removal of a tooth that cannot be saved — for example due to severe decay, fracture, advanced gum disease or an impacted wisdom tooth. Dental Med carries out routine extractions and more involved surgical and impacted-tooth removals, performed by its oral surgeons under local anaesthetic. Routine extractions are 400–600 zł and wisdom teeth are priced by position and difficulty, with platelet-rich fibrin available to support healing where appropriate.

An extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket, recommended when a tooth is too badly broken down, fractured below the gum, loosened by advanced periodontal disease, or impacted and causing problems — as wisdom teeth often do. At Dental Med routine extractions are carried out under local anaesthetic, while surgical removals — including impacted or partly erupted teeth — are performed by the clinic's oral surgeons, sometimes requiring a small gum incision or sectioning of the tooth to remove it gently. The price list separates straightforward extractions (400–600 zł) from surgical extractions and wisdom-tooth removals, which are graded by jaw and difficulty. Before surgical or wisdom-tooth cases the surgeon reviews the position on radiographs or a CBCT scan and explains the plan, aftercare and what to expect during healing. Where it may help recovery, the clinic can prepare platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) from the patient's own blood to place in the socket. The team also manages related procedures such as closing an oro-antral communication or smoothing the bony ridge afterwards in preparation for a denture or implant. Replacing the missing tooth — with an implant, bridge or denture — can be discussed at the same time. Extractions are suitable for patients of all ages once the tooth is deemed unrestorable; the surgeon checks medical history and any bleeding or healing risks beforehand, and the figures shown are approximate ranges confirmed at consultation.
