Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth, used when several teeth or a whole arch are absent and a fixed implant solution is not chosen. A full (complete) denture replaces all the teeth in a jaw and rests on the gums, while a partial denture fills the gaps left by some missing teeth and clips to the remaining ones. At Dental Med dentures are designed and built in the on-site laboratory, which allows close control over fit, tooth shade and finish. The clinic offers a range of constructions at distinct prices: conventional acrylic dentures (with a choice of WIEDENT or premium IVOCLAR teeth), partial acrylic dentures, and sturdier cobalt-chrome skeletal frameworks that are thinner and more stable for partial cases. For patients who dislike visible metal clasps, flexible acrylic and acetal dentures provide a clasp-free, more discreet alternative, and an immediate denture can be fitted straight after extractions so the patient is not left without teeth while the gums heal. Over time gums change shape, so the clinic also relines and repairs existing dentures to restore the fit. Several visits are usually needed for impressions, a try-in and fitting, with adjustments afterwards for comfort. Where appropriate, a denture can later be stabilised on implants, which the dentist can discuss. Dentures suit adults missing multiple teeth; the prosthetic consultation includes a written estimate, and the published prices are approximate.
