Fixed orthodontic braces that gradually move crowded, crooked or misaligned teeth into a straighter, better-functioning position. Dental Corner offers traditional metal braces and more discreet aesthetic (tooth-coloured) brackets, with treatment overseen including by a university professor of orthodontics. Straighter teeth are easier to clean and can improve the bite. Treatment is planned with the clinic's in-house cephalometric and panoramic imaging.
About this treatment
Fixed braces straighten the teeth using small brackets bonded to each tooth and a wire that applies gentle, continuous pressure to guide them into a planned position over a period of months. Orthodontic treatment is used to correct crowding, gaps, protrusion and bite problems; as well as improving the appearance of the smile, well-aligned teeth are easier to keep clean and can reduce uneven wear and strain on the jaw.
At Dental Corner orthodontic care begins with a consultation and diagnostic records, including panoramic and cephalometric X-rays taken in the clinic's own laboratory, which let the orthodontist analyse tooth position and jaw relationships and plan tooth movement.
