About this treatment
A denture is a custom-made removable appliance that replaces missing teeth and the surrounding tissue, helping to restore the ability to chew and speak and supporting the lips and cheeks. An acrylic (plastic-based) denture is the most established and economical type, carrying the replacement teeth on a gum-coloured base; it can replace a few teeth (a partial denture) or a whole arch (a complete denture).
