A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a titanium post placed in the jawbone, which acts as an artificial root for a crown fitted once it has integrated. At Dental ART implants are placed by an experienced oral surgeon and implantologist using premium Nobel Biocare and Straumann systems, planned with in-house 3D cone-beam imaging. Where the bone is too thin, reconstruction or a sinus lift can be carried out in the same clinic before placement, and the implant crown is added once healing is complete.
A dental implant is a small titanium screw placed into the jawbone to take the place of the root of a missing tooth. Over a healing period it fuses with the surrounding bone — a process known as osseointegration — to create a stable foundation onto which a crown can later be fixed. Because the chewing load is carried by the bone rather than the neighbouring teeth, an implant does not require grinding down adjacent healthy teeth the way a conventional bridge does, and keeping the bone loaded in this way is associated with helping preserve it in the area over time. At Dental ART treatment begins with an examination and digital imaging — a panoramic X-ray and, for implant planning, a cone-beam 3D CT scan — to assess the available bone and position the implant precisely. The clinic uses well-known Nobel Biocare and Straumann implant systems, placed under local anaesthetic by an oral surgeon and implantologist who has focused on implant treatment for many years; for anxious patients or longer procedures, treatment under anaesthesiologist-led sedation is available. If the bone is too narrow or shallow, guided bone reconstruction or a maxillary sinus lift can be performed in the same clinic to build up the site before or alongside placement. Once the implant has integrated, typically over a few months, the final crown is made and fitted. Single implants suit adults who have lost one or more teeth and want a fixed, natural-feeling replacement; suitability, the number of visits and any preparatory grafting are reviewed at consultation. For patients travelling the short distance from Frankfurt (Oder) and eastern Germany, German-speaking staff and help with German insurance billing make staged treatment straightforward to plan.
