Clear Aligner Treatment

Clear aligner treatment straightens the teeth with a series of removable, near-invisible plastic trays instead of fixed braces. Each set is worn for about two weeks before moving to the next, gradually guiding the teeth into a better position. Clear aligner therapy uses a sequence of custom-made, transparent trays to move the teeth in small, controlled steps. The patient wears each aligner for the recommended hours per day, changing to the next in the series roughly every two weeks, so the teeth shift progressively towards the planned final position. Because the trays are removable and barely visible, many adults prefer them to fixed braces for correcting crowding, spacing and mild-to-moderate alignment issues, eating and cleaning normally between wears. At DEN-MED treatment begins with a full orthodontic work-up — panoramic or CBCT imaging, intraoral scans and study models — from which the case is assessed and a tooth-by-tooth plan produced. Aligners suit cooperative patients who will wear the trays consistently, since results depend heavily on compliance; more complex bite problems may still be better treated with fixed appliances, which the clinic also provides and will recommend where appropriate. Once teeth are in their final position a retention splint is made for each arch to hold them in place, as teeth naturally tend to drift over time.
