The dentist examines the gap and the surrounding teeth and gums, discusses your dental history and general health, and assesses the quality and volume of bone available to hold an implant. Where helpful, a 3D cone-beam (CBCT) scan is taken so the bone and nearby structures can be evaluated accurately and the implant position planned in advance; this is particularly useful in the upper jaw, where a sinus lift is sometimes needed to build up the site. You will leave understanding the recommended approach, the number of appointments, the healing time and a clear, staged cost for the fixture, abutment and crown. The clinic prices its various assessment visits transparently — including periodontal, orthodontic and bruxism consultations — so you can have the right specialist evaluation for your concern. For international patients, the consultation is also an opportunity to plan treatment around travel and to ask questions in English.
