A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth, later restored with a crown to rebuild the visible tooth. At Ddent the procedure is planned with on-site CBCT imaging so the implant position can be assessed in three dimensions, and surgery is carried out by the centre's dental and maxillofacial surgeons. Implants can replace a single tooth or support larger restorations, and the placement fee covers the implant fixture itself, with the crown and any healing components priced separately.

A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, using a biocompatible titanium post that integrates with the jawbone over a healing period before it is restored with a crown. Because the implant stands alone in the bone, neighbouring teeth do not need to be ground down as they would for a conventional bridge, and the restored tooth looks and functions much like a natural one. At Ddent the process begins with an examination and cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan, which lets the surgeon evaluate bone volume and density and plan the implant position precisely; this planning is associated with more predictable placement and helps identify when additional steps such as bone augmentation or a sinus lift may be needed. The placement itself is a minor surgical procedure performed under local anaesthesia, after which the implant is left to integrate with the bone over a number of weeks. A healing screw or temporary component may be fitted in the interim. Once integration is complete, an abutment and a custom crown are attached to rebuild the tooth above the gumline. The centre offers the full pathway in-house — surgical placement, healing components and the final implant crown — so a single missing tooth or several gaps can be addressed within one practice. Suitability, the choice of implant system and the overall plan and cost are discussed at consultation, where any contraindications and the condition of the surrounding bone and gums are assessed.
