Lower back pain affects a large proportion of the adult population at some point, yet the underlying cause often remains undiagnosed because standard clinical examination cannot visualise the spinal structures in sufficient detail. This programme pairs a specialist consultation with lumbar MRI to provide both clinical and anatomical assessment.

The lumbar MRI produces detailed images of the intervertebral discs, vertebral bodies, spinal canal, nerve roots, facet joints, and surrounding soft tissues without ionising radiation. Common findings include disc herniation, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, facet joint arthropathy, and nerve root compression — conditions that produce varying symptoms from localised pain to radiating leg symptoms and sensory changes.

CreuBlanca's 3 Tesla MRI units provide the resolution needed to distinguish between conditions that may present with similar symptoms but require different management approaches. The images also serve as a baseline for monitoring progressive conditions over time.
