Breast cancer detection benefits from combining imaging modalities that are sensitive to different tissue characteristics. Mammography excels at identifying microcalcifications and architectural distortions, ultrasound differentiates solid masses from cysts and evaluates dense breast tissue where mammography has reduced sensitivity, and MRI provides the highest soft tissue contrast for detecting lesions that may be invisible to the other modalities.

This programme uses all three approaches in a single session. Bilateral mammography follows standard screening protocols with compression views of both breasts. Breast ultrasound adds real-time evaluation, which is particularly valuable for women with dense breast tissue — a common finding that can obscure mammographic findings.
