Eyelid Surgery (Double Eyelid & Blepharoplasty)

Type

Eyelid Surgery

Duration

2 hours

Upper and lower eyelid surgery including double eyelid creation (suture and incision methods), eyebag removal, and ptosis correction, performed by Dr Gavin Kang in an accredited in-house operating theatre.

The Covette Clinic offers a full range of eyelid procedures under the expertise of Dr Gavin Kang, whose craniofacial and plastic surgery training encompasses the nuanced anatomy of the periorbital region. Double eyelid surgery (Asian blepharoplasty) is available in two forms: the suture method, which creates a semi-permanent crease by weaving fine sutures through small incisions, and the incision method, which produces a permanent, defined crease with optional removal of excess skin and fat. The suture technique takes approximately 1 hour; the incision technique takes 1–2 hours. Both are performed under local anaesthesia with sedation and recovery takes approximately 2 weeks, with stitch removal at 3–5 days post-operatively. Upper blepharoplasty addresses hooding and drooping upper eyelid skin that can impair the visual field or create a tired appearance, while lower blepharoplasty (eyebag removal) targets fat prolapse and skin laxity beneath the eyes. Ptosis correction surgery addresses a drooping upper lid caused by weakness in the levator muscle. All eyelid procedures are conducted in the clinic's fully accredited in-house operating theatre at the Scotts Road location, ensuring surgical standards consistent with hospital-grade care. Flexible payment plans are available for eligible credit cardholders.
