About this treatment
Laser hair removal works by directing pulses of light at the pigment (melanin) in the hair shaft and follicle, where the energy converts to heat and disables the follicle's ability to produce new hair. Because hair grows in cycles and the laser is most effective on follicles in their active growth phase, a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart is needed to treat each area thoroughly.
