CCRM Denver performs a full suite of fertility-related blood and laboratory tests for both female and male partners, including communicable disease screening (hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, RPR), hormonal evaluations, genetic carrier screening, antisperm antibody testing, and semen culture. Tests are bundled by fertility pathway — IUI, IVF, or egg freezing — with pricing ranging from approximately $1,490 to $4,165 depending on the pathway selected. Many Colorado group plans cover fertility diagnostic testing.
CCRM Denver's comprehensive fertility blood testing service covers all laboratory investigations required to characterise reproductive health for both partners before initiating assisted reproductive treatment. For female patients, this includes: ovarian reserve markers (FSH, estradiol, LH, AMH); thyroid function (TSH, Free T4) to detect thyroid disorders that can affect ovulation and implantation; prolactin to rule out hyperprolactinaemia; antiphospholipid antibodies (lupus anticoagulant, anticardiolipin) for recurrent implantation failure workup; and communicable disease serology — hepatitis B surface antigen and surface antibody, hepatitis C antibody, HIV 1/2 antibody, and RPR (syphilis) — required before any gamete transfer. Genetic carrier screening is offered as an expanded panel covering hundreds of autosomal recessive and X-linked conditions; CCRM recommends carrier screening for both partners prior to IVF with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). For male partners, the CCRM laboratory evaluates semen quality (concentration, motility, morphology, volume), antisperm antibody status, semen culture for bacterial contamination, hormonal evaluation (FSH, LH, testosterone, prolactin), and sperm DNA fragmentation analysis (DFI — DNA Fragmentation Index) using the SCSA or TUNEL assay, which is particularly relevant for couples with unexplained infertility or recurrent miscarriage. The IVF diagnostic bundle at approximately $4,165 includes hysteroscopy to directly visualise the uterine cavity for polyps, fibroids, or adhesions in addition to the full blood panel. CCRM's Patient Financial Services team (303-781-1085) can advise on insurance coverage; Colorado law as of January 2023 requires many employer group plans to cover fertility diagnostic evaluation. Blood draw appointments are available Monday through Friday at the Rose Medical Center Denver location.
