A PDO thread lift uses fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads inserted under the skin to gently lift and reposition sagging tissue and to stimulate collagen along their path. CME offers stronger lifting threads for early jowls and a softer jawline, and finer revitalising threads that improve skin firmness and texture. It is a less invasive option than a surgical lift, with results that build as collagen forms.

About this treatment

A thread lift uses absorbable polydioxanone (PDO) threads, the same material long used in surgical sutures, introduced under the skin through a fine needle or cannula. Lifting threads have tiny barbs or cones that grip the tissue so it can be gently lifted and repositioned, giving an immediate subtle lift, while all threads stimulate a collagen response along their path that continues to firm the area over the following weeks. At CME the area is numbed before treatment, which takes around forty-five to sixty minutes depending on how many threads are placed. Expect some tenderness, mild swelling, occasional bruising and a feeling of tightness for several days, with care taken to avoid extreme facial movements while the threads settle.
