About this treatment
CME removes moles and other skin lesions surgically, carried out by a physician under local anaesthetic. After numbing the area, the lesion is excised and the wound closed and dressed, with technique chosen to keep any resulting mark as discreet as possible. The clinic prices small and larger lesions differently, reflecting the area involved and the complexity of removal.
A key part of the service is that removed tissue can be sent for histopathology — laboratory examination of the tissue — when clinically appropriate, with that examination priced separately.
