Lip Augmentation (Hyaluronic Acid)

Lip augmentation at CME uses soft, cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler to enhance the lips' volume, shape and border definition while keeping movement and proportion natural. Treatment begins with a conversation about what you want — more hydration and a tidy border, a little extra volume, or correction of asymmetry — and the physician recommends an amount accordingly, typically beginning with around one millilitre or less for first-time patients.

A strong topical anaesthetic is applied and the filler products also contain lidocaine, so the procedure is generally well tolerated. The gel is placed with a fine needle or cannula and shaped by hand; results are immediate, though lips commonly swell for 24 to 48 hours and small bruises can occur.
