Injection Lipolysis (Fat-Dissolving)

Type

Fat Dissolving

Duration

30 min

Injection lipolysis is a non-surgical way to reduce small, stubborn pockets of fat — such as under the chin, on the abdomen or thighs — using injections that break down fat cells so the body can clear them gradually. It suits localised deposits that resist diet and exercise rather than large-volume fat reduction. CME prices it per vial and plans the number of sessions to the area being treated.

Injection lipolysis uses a solution injected directly into a localised pocket of fat to disrupt the membranes of fat cells, after which the body metabolises and clears the released contents over the following weeks. It is intended for small, defined areas — commonly a double chin, the lower abdomen, the flanks or the thighs — and is not a substitute for surgical liposuction or for weight loss; it works best on stubborn deposits that persist despite a stable weight and regular exercise. At CME the area is assessed and the appropriate number of vials planned; a session takes around twenty to thirty minutes. It is normal to have swelling, warmth, tenderness and sometimes firmness or bruising in the treated area for several days to a couple of weeks, which is part of the expected response. Because the effect is gradual, the clinic notes results are usually visible after about a month and that two to four sessions, spaced several weeks apart, are typically needed depending on the area and the amount of fat. Realistic expectations are set at consultation, where the physician confirms the treatment is suitable and reviews any contraindications. It is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
