After surgery a nasal splint is worn for about two weeks to protect and stabilise the new shape while the bones and cartilage settle. Recovery follows a clear course: home rest for two to seven days, around a week before returning to office work, two weeks before light activity and three weeks before full activity. Bruising and swelling around the eyes and nose are common early and subside over the first weeks, though the final refined shape emerges gradually as deep swelling resolves over the following months. Patients should avoid knocks to the nose and glasses resting on the bridge during early healing.
