Facial fat transfer (výplň obličeje vlastním tukem), also called lipofilling, replaces that lost volume with the patient's own fat, offering a natural, biocompatible alternative to hyaluronic acid fillers with no risk of allergic reaction to a foreign substance. The procedure has two parts. First, the surgeon harvests a small amount of fat by gentle liposuction from a donor site where surplus exists — commonly the abdomen, hips or thighs — which has the secondary benefit of subtly contouring that area.
