Facial fat transfer restores lost volume to the face using the patient's own fat instead of synthetic filler. Fat is gently harvested by liposuction from a donor area such as the abdomen or thighs, purified, and injected into hollow or sunken areas — cheeks, temples, tear troughs, nasolabial folds — to soften ageing and rejuvenate the face naturally. Clinic for Luck performs the procedure from 15,000 Kč under local anaesthesia or from 19,000 Kč under general. Because it uses living tissue, a portion of the transferred fat integrates permanently.
As the face ages it loses underlying fat, and the resulting hollows — flattened cheeks, sunken temples, deep tear troughs and nasolabial folds — are a major reason a face begins to look tired and older. Facial fat transfer (výplň obličeje vlastním tukem), also called lipofilling, replaces that lost volume with the patient's own fat, offering a natural, biocompatible alternative to hyaluronic acid fillers with no risk of allergic reaction to a foreign substance. The procedure has two parts. First, the surgeon harvests a small amount of fat by gentle liposuction from a donor site where surplus exists — commonly the abdomen, hips or thighs — which has the secondary benefit of subtly contouring that area. The harvested fat is then processed to concentrate viable fat cells, which are injected in fine layers through tiny entry points into the areas of the face that need volume, restoring youthful fullness and smoothing folds. Because the fat is the patient's own living tissue, the cells that survive establish a blood supply and remain permanently, giving a long-lasting result. The procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia for smaller treatments (from 15,000 Kč) or under general anaesthesia for larger-volume or combined work (from 19,000 Kč). As with all fat grafting, the body reabsorbs a proportion of the transferred fat in the first months, so the surgeon slightly over-corrects to allow for this, and in some cases a second session is recommended to build further volume. Recovery involves swelling and possible bruising of both the face and the donor site that settles over one to two weeks, with the final, refined result appearing as the graft stabilises. Facial fat transfer pairs well with eyelid surgery or a facelift, replacing volume those procedures do not address. At consultation the surgeon assesses facial volume loss and donor availability to plan the treatment.
