Patients can choose round implants for fuller upper-pole projection or anatomical teardrop implants for a more natural slope; both are available with a standard surface, the MPS micro-polyurethane surface associated with reduced implant rotation and capsular contracture, and in the lightweight B-Lite range, where hollow borosilicate microspheres cut implant weight by up to a third — a meaningful difference for larger volumes or for women concerned about long-term tissue stretch. The surgery is carried out under general anaesthesia and lasts approximately one to two hours. The surgeon creates a pocket either behind the breast gland or beneath the pectoral muscle and inserts the implant through a single incision of around 5 cm, placed in the inframammary fold or at the areolar border so that scarring is concealed. Dissolvable sutures and a sterile dressing are applied, and most patients stay one to two days in hospital. Recovery follows a clear timeline: home rest for three to seven days, a week before returning to office work, two to three weeks before light activity, and one to three months before full exertion and sport. A compression bra is provided and worn continuously during the early weeks to support healing and implant settling.
