The APTOS thread lift bridges the gap between injectable treatments and a surgical facelift. It uses specially designed absorbable threads with tiny bidirectional barbs (cogs) that grip the soft tissue. Introduced through a needle or fine cannula and drawn taut, the threads lift descended tissue — typically the cheeks, jawline, brow or mid-face — and hold it in a higher position. Beyond the immediate mechanical lift, the threads provoke a controlled healing response that stimulates new collagen along their length, so the skin continues to firm in the weeks and months afterward. The procedure is performed in the clinic, usually under local anaesthesia, and takes well under an hour.
